Vegemite-Toast-Flavoured Liqueur Is A Thing And We're Ready

Aussie distillery Archie Rose has decided to throw out the rule book and go whole hog, no holds barred on the whole 'liqueur' thing, birthing a Frankenstein-like spirit named, 'Archiemite Buttered Toast Spirit'. 

And you know what?

We're not mad at it.

The drink - a portmanteau of 'Vegemite' and their own brand name Archie Rose Distilling Co. - is made with a house-made 'mite spread', 15 kilograms of Sonoma sourdough and 25 kilograms of Pepe Saya butter.

The Sydney-based distillery describe the spirit as having "big, mitey character at the front followed by biscuity, bready notes" and celebrating umami flavour. 

They've even launched a series of 'Mitey Brunches' over the weekend (until June 2nd) to celebrate the new concoction which will include Espresso Mite-inis and Mitey Bloody Mary’s.

Only 3000 bottles were brewed, so if you're keen to experience the magic at home (first of all, who are you?) then get in quick.
