Edible Bouquets Are The #1 Item You Need At Your Next Party

Or we're not attending.

First it was cake pops. Then loaded doughnuts and cupcakes.

But the event game has been changed yet again.

'By what?' you ask...

Yes, that’s right.

It’s the carnival classic.

The food of sugar junkie dreams.

The sweet-but-light, fluffy-yet-sticky goodness is the latest trend for - wait for it - bridal bouquets.

‘Cause who wants boring old flowers anyway?

Alison Anderson, owner of wedding catering company Lollipuff Gourmet Cotton-Candy in the US, told Good Morning America that she has noticed a “very big increase” in edible bouquets.

"Cotton candy is the new cupcake," she said.

Okay, so maybe we wouldn’t go thaaaat far.

But it’s still a movement we can get behind.

One of Anderson’s customers, Sara Goodwin, told GMA the fairy floss “made for some adorable, colourful, and unique photos of our wedding that we will cherish forever.”

Pretty, playful and DELICIOUS.

Faheema Chaudhury, another bride who opted for the unconventional bouquet, told Business Insider:

“Cotton candy has always had a special place in my heart…it’s my treat of choice at any theme park.”

We’re all for throwing tradition out the window, especially if it’s in the name of a lil’ snacky snack.

For the next bouquet trend, our bet is on banana bread.
