*fingers crossed*

We’ve barely gotten over what happened in Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home is about to hit cinemas next week, and now this!?

Everyone knows that the Marvel Cinematic Universe loves a crossover, and now one of the OG Avengers might be starring in the upcoming third Guardians of the Galaxy film.

Chris Hemsworth, AKA Thor, recently said that he’d love to be a part of the Guardians team, titling the new film ‘Asgardians of the Galaxy’.

“I’ll work with any of those guys,” he told Cinema Blend, “I’d play this character for as long as anyone would let me. Who knows what the future holds and whether they do prequels and sequels or whatever, I’d be open to anything.”

Dave Bautista, who plays Drax in the film series, also shared the same sentiments in a recent interview, saying that he would “absolutely” love to work with Hemsworth again.

While director James Gunn has since shot down the idea of the film being called ‘Asgardians of the Galaxy’ on Instagram, it’s still possible for the God of Thunder to make an appearance.

But don’t get too excited just yet!

It might be a while until we see the third Guardians of the Galaxy in cinemas as Black Panther and Doctor Strange have sequels in the works, as well as a Black Widow movie.
