Everything You Need To Know About Ava Max
The girl whose songs you can't get out of your head!
You've heard her songs, but you might not know much about Ava Max, the girl behind 'Sweet But Psycho' and 'So Am I', so let's get to know more about the 25-year-old!
Ava's real name is Amanda Ava Koci and she's Albanian! She's co-written a song with David Guetta called 'Let It Be Me' and is influenced by Madonna, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Oh, and her mum, of course!
Ava's a feminist and even remade Aqua's 'Barbie Girl' and retitled 'Not Your Barbie Girl', listen here:
Her debut album will be out later this year and will reportedly be called The Exhibitionist.
Speaking with Smallzy, Ava revealed her new song (which is likely stuck in your head as we speak) 'So Am I' has an important message behind it:
"I'm really excited about this new one because of the message especially. I think it's so important in this generation now with social media where it's super unhealthy where everybody's comparing themselves online and you know they can get down on themselves and you know, I've gotten down on myself too, it's normal.
"But this song is really about embracing where you come from and who you are and not fitting into the format that society wants to put you in."
Smallzy also asked Ava how she got to where she is now as she's seemingly an 'overnight success' and she revealed she's been singing since she was seven, adding:
"I've just been chasing this one long dream my entire life."
