Prosecutors Charge Man In Relation To Death Of Rapper Mac Miller

The 26-year-old rapper died almost one year ago.

It's has been almost one year to the day since rapper Mac Miller, just 26, died from an accidental drug overdose in California. 

Since then, NBC News report that a criminal complaint has been filed against a man named Cameron James Pettit for providing Mac - real name Malcolm James McCormick - with counterfeit oxycodone.

The rapper was found unresponsive on September 7th, 2018 with the L.A. County Coroner’s Office later ruling that his death was an accidental overdose. Fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol were found to be in his system at time of death.

NBC News report that it was Pettit who allegedly gave Mac pills that contained fentanyl, cocaine, and Xanax - after the rapper request "percs" or Percocet.

TMZ add that the complaint lists Pettit as one of three people responsible for Miller’s death.
