Hot cross buns have officially hit supermarket shelves and we have a lot of feelings

1 min read

It’s not even January yet?!

Christmas has come and gone and left us in it’s wake wondering how the hell we’re about to start another year.

We’re not even sure how we got through 2018.

Actually, we’re pretty sure we’re still stuck in 2010 and this is all one big joke.

We’re certain someone somewhere is definitely laughing at our expense, because only a very special kind of person would choose to release hot cross buns before December is even over.

Yep, that’s right people, hot cross buns have officially hit supermarket shelves and WHAT IS GOING ON.

The world has officially lost its mind.

The realisation first came on Twitter when one user shared photo of Coles of Apple and Cinnamon Hot Cross Buns, which were baked on the 27th of December.

What followed was a stream of sticky-cinnamon bun photos that have us salivating but also panicking.

“What better way to prepare for the new year than with hot cross buns from @Coles #toosoon,” another user wrote.

And, just, NO.

Easter is still a good four months a way and 2019 ins’t even here.
