Zac Efron Is Starring In The New Scooby-Doo Movie
All aboard the nostalgia train because there's a Scooby-Doo animated film coming with some of your favourite stars.
Deadline reports Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried have joined the cast of the upcoming flick, titled Scoob.
Seyfried will voice the role of Daphne while Efron will take over Fred. It will be quite the change for us after seeing Efron as murderer Ted Bundy, but definitely a welcoming one.
The two actors join Gina Rodriguez (Velma), Will Forte (Shaggy), Tracy Morgan (Captain Caveman), and Frank Welker as the one and only Scooby.
Fun fact, Welker was the OG voice of the world's favourite canine for over a decade now.
Scoob is currently set for a May 2020 release. It comes 50 years after the original Scooby-Doo television series aired in 1969 as a Saturday morning cartoon.
But it won’t be the first movie adaptation.
Let's not forget the motion picture Scooby-Doos (Scooby-Doo: The Movie and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed) staring ‘90s heartthrobs, Freddie Prinze Jr. as Fred and Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne.
