You need to hear Miley Cyrus’ feminist version of iconic Christmas song ‘Santa Baby’

“Santa Baby, I can buy my own damn stuff”

Christmas song ‘Santa Baby’ is an iconic tune which has been sung by many celebrities over the years, including Michael Buble and Kylie Minogue.

But Miley Cyrus has just done what no one before her has dared to do– she CHANGED the lyrics to the iconic tune.

Performing the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Miley re-vamped the original version to make it less outdated and more feminist.

Just before going onstage, Miley pointed that the song makes some grand requests for animal furs, yachts and fancy cars which aren't necessarily the things Miley is wishing for (or most people, tbh).

The song also insinuates that in order to get good gifts you need to sleep with Santa, so we totally get Miley’s outrage.

Being the legend she is Miley stepped on stage without missing a beat and changed the lyrics to one’s that are more relatable and definitely less sexist.

"Santa Baby, I don't need any fancy jewelry / Not me / I've got something else in mind,” she sang.

“I can buy my own damn stuff.”

The full clip goes on for over three minutes and Miley sings about paying for her car “all on her own” and how "a girl's best friend is equal pay.”

You might not be able to replace an original but if you ask us Miley’s version is just as good.
