We are never ever ever getting together

This may be fact, this may be fiction, but it is certainly one hilarious story either way.

OK! Magazine has published a story claiming that Rooney Mara keeps saying "nah" to Taylor Swift's incessant girl squad invitations.

It is true that Taylor Swift is known for collecting friends like they're award nominations, and it is true that Rooney Mara (Girl With the Dragon Tattoo; The Social Network) seems like the type of person who would rather eat her own stiletto than utter the word "squad".

Although people have been wary of OK!'s squad reporting since they published a false article claiming Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez were feuding, this story is just believable enough to pass for credible. And boy, did the article contain some good quotes.

According to the magazine:

"[Swift] is desperate to rope [the] 31-year-old actress into joining her 'girl squad' [but Rooney has told her to] "take a hike".

"Rooney doesn't want to be part of anybody's entourage, despite Taylor's incessant string of invitations to party.

"She even turned down Taylor's invite to her July 4th Rhode Island bash."

The magazine claims that Taylor initially became interested in roping Rooney into her girl squad after seeing Carol, the film based on a lesbian "cult classic" novel in which Rooney starred alongside Cate Blanchett.

"Taylor's been desperate to befriend the edgy Rooney since seeing her play a lesbian in Carol, but Rooney's a loner who avoids celebrity events if she can."

Is this feud real or imagined? Will we even remember it in a week? Possibly not, but it was fun while it lasted.
