Prince Harry and Meghan pick unexpected Hollywood couple to be royal baby's godparents

Totally didn't call this one!

There's still some time left before the sure-to-be adorable bub arrives, which gives us plenty of time to discuss who Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will pick to be his/her godparents.

While we'd eagerly put our hats into the ring, it appears that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already got a couple in mind to be godparents.

And boy is it quite a surprising couple.

According to the Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan's choice to be their first-born child's godparents are none other than George and Amal Clooney.

Yep, the A-list couple from Hollywood.

The quartet have become very close over the past year, with George and Amal being invited to Harry and Meghan's wedding back in May. In fact, Amal has been pals with Meghan for quite some time now and both share many of the same interests.

Family insiders tell the publication that George is "almost a shoo-in" to be the royal baby's godparent before stating that the actor would be a "wonderful" godfather.

While nothing has been confirmed with a capital K just yet, it is reported that George has "told a couple of people he has a strong hunch" that he and Amal will be among the couples to play an important role in the royal baby's life.

The role of godparents has traditionally been given to friends and relatives of the royal family, meaning that if George and Amal are named as godparents to the royal baby, it will be the first time a major Hollywood star has been given the title.

But hey we're all for it because having a human-rights lawyer and a major Hollywood A-lister/philanthropist/activist as godparents can only be a good thing!
