Paramore Have Revealed Details About New Music
Remember to breathe.
Paramore was the entire soundtrack of our teenagehood. 'Misery Business' is still our favourite break-up, anger, workout track and always will be.
Ever since Paramore released their fifth studio album After Laughter in 2017, fans (yes, including us) have been eager to see what's the band has in store next.
Now we finally have an answer..
…and it’s not good.
It’s a dark day fellow Paramore fans, because Hayley has revealed the band doesn't have any plans to release new music any time soon.
Speaking to ET at Beautycon in LA, Hayley confessed, "I really don’t know what’s next for Paramore."
She then added, "The guys and I just had dinner the other night at my house," before confirming that the reunion wasn't in any way music related. "I think we’re just really enjoying being friends and adult human beings at home by ourselves without music.”
In June, Hayley led fans to believe new music was on the horizon by sharing a mysterious video on Instagram. Talking about the response, Hayley said, "To be honest, I am an awful, awful human for those Instagram posts that I left everyone hanging with."
She then explained, "I didn't want people to forget... I have always been a musician first. My first creative outlet was music."
Hayley continued saying, "Even though people are going to see me in this kind of [beauty] space a lot more, I don't want people to forget. So I kind of was like, 'I'm just gonna leave this here, and see ya guys on the flipside!'"
So the Hayley’s videos didn’t mean music and the band are too busy being pals. We’re happy for them and all but we’re also crushed, not gonna lie.
It's worth remembering that Paramore left a four year gap between their albums Paramore and After Laughter so it’s not totally abnormal behaviour.
Fingers crossed more music is a possibility in the future though. We need ourselves a Misery Business 2.0.
