Modern Family's Sarah Hyland apparently got in a 'catfight' at Paris Hilton's party

"You b****!"

Hollywood has a way of surprising you in regards to how one celeb is associated with another.

In the latest example,The Hills' Stephanie Pratt has a podcast that she co-hosts with US Bachelorette star Wells Adams, who happens to be Modern Family star Sarah Hyland's boyfriend.

See? It's kinda crazy.

Anyway, here's where it gets even more crazy: Steph recently revealed that she and Sarah got into a "catfight" after meeting for the first time at a Hollywood party.

Told ya there are surprises everywhere. Time to dust off an old classic:

Chatting to US Weekly, Steph said that she recently met her podcast co-host's girlfriend at a recent shindig thrown by Paris Hilton and it, uh, didn't go too well.

She says that Wells incorrectly told her that Sarah is "the biggest The Hills fan" and couldn't wait to meet her. There was a problem though: Sarah had never watched the show at all.

This set the scene for an awkward first encounter and boy did it deliver, as explained by Steph:

“I was so excited and immediately was like, ‘Where is Sarah Hyland?’ She was on the dance floor somewhere, so I made [Wells] bring me to her.

“I was like, ‘Hi! Oh, my gosh. I’ve been dying to meet you. Thank you so much for being such a big Hills fan!’”

To which Sarah awkwardly responded:

“I never watched The Hills.”

It then proceeded to go even more downhill as the pair apparently got into a little "catfight":

“And I was like, ‘Oh, OK, well, we definitely need to get you on the podcast. Did you hear the trailer? You’re our sign off!’ She goes, ‘No.’ I go, ‘You didn’t hear our trailer?’ She goes, ‘No’ and she’s still dancing, so yeah, it was awkward.

“Then we got in a catfight because I thought we were filming The Hills and I was like, ‘You bitch!’ but then I realised we weren’t and I was like, ‘OK, I don’t have to do that.’ It was a rough start.”

As weird as it all sounds, it seems like Steph and Sarah are past... whatever this thing is and are cool with everything now, even if the awkwardness is still there.

“I still love Sarah. I never stopped loving her, I’m just a little hurt.

“It was a very funny night, like an interesting evening.”

Look at it this way, Steph, it definitely made for a good story!
