Melissa George hints at 'Home and Away' return
Um... Well this is confusing.
Melissa George has done well inhabiting the Parisian croissant-eating lifestyle.
However, she may be giving it all up to return home to where her career began, 'Summer Bay'.
It comes four years after her rant where she blasted The Morning Show's Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur for describing her as a 'Home and Away actress,' rather than discussing her recent roles.
The 41-year-old played Angel Paris on Home and Away in the early to mid 90s.
Responding to a News Corp question about returning to the soap, Melissa responded with:
"They have offered, but I don’t know.
"It [association with the show] is a hard thing to shake and at one point I tried to shake it, but there is no point."
Footage of The Morning Show incident is hard to find but it was her following comments about the soap to the UK's Sun that made the meltdown worse.
She said Channel Seven had only asked her on The Morning Show to promote Home and Away, rather than discuss the scores of more recent film roles she's had.
"I don't need credibility from my country anymore. I just need them all to be quiet.
"If they have nothing intelligent to say, please don't speak to me anymore. I'd rather be having a croissant and an espresso in Paris or walking my French bulldog in New York City.
"I’ve never spoken out about it because I have to be the loyal good Aussie, who goes away and comes home.
"But I’m a really hardworking woman and people have to respect me for what I’ve done.
"My next call will be to Home and Away to ask them to pay me because nobody does more promotion for that f**king show than me."
