It looks like we have a shortlist for the Royal baby's godparents

Did Prince William and Kate Middleton make the cut?

Well, folks.

The birth of the Royal baby is fast approaching and aside from baby names and the sex of the child, the most-discussed element of this major event is the question of who will be godparents.

If reports from The Sun are anything to go by, it looks like it's unlikely that Prince William or Kate Middleton will win the gig.

The publication went on to share that this would be less than surprising considering the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have not chosen Harry or Meghan as godparents to their children and with that considered, went on to list their top contenders.

These would be:

Ben and Jessica Mulroney - close friends of Markle's whose children held the role of pageboys and bridesmaid at the Royal wedding.

George and Amal Clooney - reportedly very good friends with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

And Misha Nonoo - it's believed Nonoo is the matchmaker who introduced Markle and Prince Harry.

It was reported by The Daily Mail back in November 2018 that the Clooney's were the top pick of the three but it seems we'll have to wait until the child's christening day to find out for sure!

Who's your money on?
