A sudden change of plans ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal tour has all but confirmed the royal newlyweds are expecting.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were scheduled to visit the Fijian capital, Suva, on October 23 and 24, followed by Nadi on October 25.

New Idea quote a source as saying that “pregnant Meghan has pulled out” after an outbreak of the mosquito-borne Zika virus in the area - which causes birth defects in unborn babies.

The magazine quoted a local tour guide who blabbed the news ahead of their visit:

“Harry and Meghan are visiting here when they come to Fiji because it’s the former President’s home village,” she declared, before correcting herself and stating, “Oh, that’s right. Meghan’s not coming now. Only Harry.”

Meghan is still expected to fulfil appearances in Australia, with New Idea reporting she’ll be joined by mum Doria Ragland, who has been taking “nanny classes”.

Meghan and Harry are believed to be delaying their pregnancy announcement until after Princess Eugenie’s wedding this week - so as not to steal the spotlight from her big day.
