Former Bachelor contestant dead at 38
The Bachelor franchise has been rocked by the sudden death of a former contestant.
Cristy Caserta, 38, appeared on the fifteenth season of The Bachelor in the US.
TMZ report she was attending a class in Florida when she “suddenly fell forward at the desk where she was sitting”.
“We're told Cristy went into cardiac arrest as emergency responders arrived and administered CPR. She was transported to nearby Westside Regional Medical Center where they continued efforts to save her, but she was pronounced dead.”
The death is not being treated as suspicious, and no drugs were found nearby. TMZ are saying her death was due to a seizure, with an autopsy being performed on Friday.
Cristy described herself on her Twitter profile as an attorney who had a “hot minute on ABC's The Bachelor 15”.
Cristy was sent home in the first week of her season, touted as the ‘second shot at love’ for Bachelor Brad Womack, who had failed to choose a partner at the end of his previous season, Badge style.
