First Look At The Witcher Is Here Feat. Blonde Henry Cavill

It looks amazing!

Not much is known about Netflix’s upcoming show The Witcher.

We know it’s based off a popular novel and video game series.

We know that Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who has worked on Daredevil, The Defenders, and Power, is producing the series.

We know it’s meant to be released sometime this year.

And we know it will star a long-haired blonde Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.

Netflix released a very cryptic teaser for the show at the end of last year and if gave us NOTHING else to go off:

Now, thanks to Henry, we finally have a better look at the show- he shared a bunch of character portraits on his Instagram.

He is giving us full on fantasy hero vibes complete with slightly pained eyes and a convincing stare off into the distance.

Henry’s character, Geralt, is a solitary monster hunter struggling to find his place in a world full of people who are just as wicked as the beasts he captures.

So the pained expression makes sense.

Joining Cavill on the show are Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra, who are set to play princess Ciri and sorceress Yennefer, respectively

We don’t know if we’re getting more Game of Thrones or Little Red Riding Hood, but the fantasy loving geek inside of us is cheering.

We’re still waiting for A Witcher release date, but we’re sure Netflix will drop some more juicy information during this month’s San Diego Comic Con.
