2019 Golden Globes hosts take cheeky stab at Lady Gaga

Just one of many great opening monologue jokes!

The barometer on whether a Golden Globes event has gone well or not usually hinges on how good the host's opening monologue is.

For the 2019 Golden Globes, hosts Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh kicked things off with a flyer, pumping out funny joke after funny joke.

But if we were to pick out our favourite - and there were a few to choose from - it would be their cheeky little stab at Lady Gaga.

Remember when Gaga did her "100 people in a room" speech during her promo tour for A Star Is Born

Well Andy and Sandra decided to poke a little fun at the singer by parodying her speech as part of their opening monologue.

And yes, it is funny AF.

Credit to Gaga for taking it all in in good humour (and also yelling out "it's true!" to Andy and Sandra)!
