Kesha releases disgusting emails from her alleged attacker

The damning emails come as she fights music producer Dr. Luke on sexual assault claims

Kesha has been engaged in a legal battle against her music producer Dr. Luke since 2014, claiming he sexually and mentally abused her.

Last year, a New York judge refused to release the singer from her exclusive contract with Sony and Dr. Luke, despite claims he had raped her and called her a "fat f***ing refrigerator".

The court's decision last year sparked the 'Free Kesha' movement, which drew many celebrities and fans to protest for the singer's release from her contract.

According to The New York Post, Kesha has brought a fresh appeal to the court this week, once again begging to be freed from her attacker. Papers filed by her lawyer this week read that Kesha wants to "be free from her abuser and rebuild her physical, emotional and mental health."

To coincide with her renewed plea, Kesha has released a trove of disgusting emails sent to her - and about her - by Dr. Luke. The damning emails lend new weight to Kesha's abuse allegations against the producer.

In the emails, Dr. Luke appears ruthless about Kesha's weight.

In one, he claims that other A-list songwriters are "reluctant to give Kesha their songs because of her weight."

In another, he slams the singer for breaking a juice cleanse by drinking a Diet Coet:

"We were having a discussion on how she can be more disciplined with her diet," Dr. Luke wrote.

"There have been many times we have all witnessed her breaking her diet plan. This perticular [sic] time - it happened to be diet coke and turkey while on an all juice fast."

Kesha has previously been the victim of an eating disorder.

Kesha's manager Monica Cornia comes to Kesha's defence in several of the emails, at one point urging Dr. Luke to go easier on her because "[she] is a human and not a machine."

"[If] she was a machine that would be way cool and we could do whatever we want [sic]."

Both Dr. Luke and Kesha are scheduled to re-visit the case via a telephone conference with the judge next week.
