Taxi Company Campaign Sparks Outrage

What has the public up in arms about this Taxi Company’s latest campaign against drink driving?

Had a few too many beverages? Then there’s no question: Catch a taxi.

Obviously.

That’s the message this private Taxi firm is using to target customers… But the way they’ve gone about it has sparked outrage.

West Quay Cars’ latest posters feature a… umm… “Buxom”, middle aged woman, getting involved with her own finger. The text next to her reads:

“IF I START TO LOOK SEXY, BOOK A TAXI”.

Feminist groups and the general public are up in arms, arguing the ad is sexist – and they are demanding the company ditches the campaign altogether, according to the Daily Mail.

Some anonymous dude told the Daily Mail, “I was horrified to see the recent posters by West Quay cars which featured a middle-aged larger woman with a slogan on it.

“It is supposed to encourage people not to drink and drive but it looked like they were telling people not to make bad decisions by going with a woman who looks like this.”

“It is disgusting that in 2015 sexism is still alive, people shouldn't be making a profit over negative self-body image.”

The company is standing up for their campaign, apparently the big bosses are devo about the way it’s being received.

It’s been distributed across 166 pubs across the local area in time for the silly season.
